When you volunteer at a Racevermont.com event, you will be eligible for:

  • a race entry to a future race of equal value within one year of the race you volunteered.  The race entry is transferable to spouses and significant others only.
  • a volunteer t-shirt
  • post race refreshments

Race jobs vary from parking to registration to water safety, and more. Please see the list of duties and a brief description below. Please fill out the volunteer form below along with your choice of duty and hit submit.

Parking
Direct pre-race parking.

Pre-Race Set-up
Help set up registration, timing, race course, water stations, bike racks, and race site.

Registration
Guide athletes through the registration process.
Assist with race number, t-shirt and packet distribution.
Accept race-day registrations and payments.

Timing
Assist the timing team with various timing functions, i.e., number recording, race timers, etc.

Road Marshals
Help control traffic and spectators, make sure racers stay on course.  Must be 18 or older.

Water Station
Distribute water to race participants.

Water Safety
Ensure water course safety.  Help support lifeguards.  This includes canoes, kayaks & motor boats.

Finish Line Assistants (People Movers)
Maintain the flow of runners through the finish area.

Food & Refreshments
Set up and serve beverages and food to racers and volunteers.

Medical Aid (must have credentials)
Looking for doctors, nurses, EMTs, or rescue volunteers to provide on-site medical support.

Post-Race Massage
Professional massage therapists, post race massage for race participants.

Post Race Cleanup
Help with post-race clean-up and organization.
