Sprint Triathlon II & Vermont Senior Games Sprint Tri Championship
|Description of Event:||This is actually two races running at the same time – the RaceVermont Sprint Tri II and the Vermont Senior Games Sprint Triathlon Championship (sponsored by RaceVermont). Enjoy the beauty of Vermont as you swim, bike and run to and from Shelburne Beach on Lake Champlain. The tri begins with a rectangular swim at Shelburne Beach. The lake is shallow for this swim and is monitored by lifeguards, several race volunteers on several boats along the course, Charlotte Rescue’s boat, and the US Coast Guard. Following is an out-and-back bike ride and a run past scenic Shelburne Orchards and back. Family and friends can cheer you on from Shelburne Beach where little ones can play at the playground. Enjoy a BBQ or picnic afterward as there are grills and tables at the town beach. There is a limit of 200 for this race, so race-day registration may not be available. Due to very low registrations, this race has been cancelled. All registrants are welcome to transfer to the August 18, Sprint Triathlon.|
