Description of Event: This is one of our most picturesque events.  This 5K run begins and ends at the Shelburne Farms Coach Barn.  You will marvel at the beauty of the Coach Barn and the surrounding pastures and woods.  Run past Lake Champlain and the Inn at Shelburne Farms, former home of William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb, on your way to the finish line. This race has filled well in advance for the past two years.  Do not hesitate to register for this race if you’d like to run in this race.
Date of Event: Sunday, September 30, 2012; 8:30 am
Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)
Cost: $20/individual if registered by September 26, 2012.  Pre-registration closes on September 26, 2012.  In all likelihood, this race will sell out prior to race day. If it does not, Race Day registration will be open 7:30 – 8:15 am.  An additional $5 will be charged for race-day registrations.Long-sleeved wicking shirts will be available for $25 if ordered by 9/7/12.
Registration Time: There is a limit of 175 racers for this race.  In the event that this race is not sold out in advance (VERY unlikely), we will have race day registration from 7:30 – 8:15 am on race day.  An additional $5 fee will be added for race-day registrations. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable and not transferable.Pre-race packet pick up will be available at Fleet Feet Sports prior to race day as well as at the race on race day.  Please stay tuned for more details.

Directions to Race: From the north:  Take Route 7 (Shelburne Road) south until you come to the intersection with Bay Road. Turn right onto Bay Road (if you pass Shelburne Health & Fitness on your right, you’ve gone too far to turn onto Bay Road, but you can keep going and follow the “From the south” directions without losing more time.)  Follow Bay Road to the stop sign (being careful as you pass under the very narrow railroad bridge).  Go straight into Shelburne Farms, stopping at the gatehouse to check in with the Shelburne Farms staff.  They will direct you to the Coach Barn.From the south:  Take Route 7 north to the center of Shelburne Village.  Turn left (at the Mobil Station) onto Harbor Road.  Follow Harbor Road to the stop sign.  Turn left into Shelburne Farms stopping at the gatehouse to check in with the Shelburne Farms staff.  They will direct you to the Coach Barn.
Where to Park: Parking is available in the field at the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms. Please do not park up near the building, on the roads, or at the far end of the parking lot (the end nearest the Inn).
Awards: Men’s 1st, 2nd & 3rd place
Women’s 1st, 2nd & 3rd place
1st place in each age group (5-year groupings)
Raffle prizes are awarded post-race to participants whose names are drawn randomly (must be present to win).
